Ken Urban CMT
Years of experience: 1.5
Highlights:
Ken began his journey as a massage therapist long before his formal training—first working on his grandmother’s back as a middle schooler, and later choosing massage school to support his mother through her battle with cancer. These early experiences shaped his natural, intuitive approach to healing. Clients often describe Ken’s touch as both deeply relaxing and therapeutically effective—providing that “good pain” that brings real relief, improved mobility, and a renewed sense of balance. His background in aromatherapy and hospice work adds a uniquely compassionate and holistic dimension to his sessions.

Self description:
Ken approaches each client with an intuitive desire to relieve what ails them, combining verbal intake with visual and postural assessments to guide his sessions. He often works from broad to focused touch, encouraging the body into a parasympathetic state before incorporating more targeted techniques such as PNF stretching, pin-and-stretch, or lymphatic sequences like his go-to "Fab Five." He tailors every session to the individual, guided by what the body presents and the client’s unique goals.
In his free time, Ken enjoys nature, working out (especially beachside), and meditation. He’s also a self-proclaimed geek who loves immersive universes like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Middle Earth. A budding gardener and skincare formulator, Ken has been diving into permaculture with dreams of homesteading one day. He volunteers for hospice and continues to explore aromatherapy in his personal and professional life.
